APCO Takes on Reforestation

In a landmark agreement, the first of its kind in the state, APCO has signed an agreement with the National Forest Corporation and the State Ministry of Agriculture to restore Samsam Forrest in Gedaref State. The project will cultivate Acacia Senegal, commercially known as Gum Arabic, in an area of 60,000 Feddans to contribute to the country’s climate mitigation efforts as well as support local communities.
