The company was established in response to rising consumer demand for affordable basic food products. At its early beginnings, the main activity of the company was the import and bulk selling of wheat, lentils, rice, and sugar. Today it produces and distributes an array of consumer products covering 80% of the local market.

Playing a pivotal role in stimulating the local economy by creating an influx of foreign currency, MSG Food has capitalized on MSG’s long experience in agriculture and international trading to offer the highest standard of Sudanese sesame and sesame products to the international market.

MSG food works in the processing and packing of food products through three business units; Delta Food Complex, Almahgoub Factory for sweets, Tahniya and Tahini and Delta Oil Refinery.

Established 2012, Delta Food Complex is a modern food packing facility built on 15,000m² of land in Khartoum North and equipped with the latest technology in the packing industry. It produces a range of food products in multiple pack sizes meeting different consumer needs and budgets. Our products include a range of household essentials such as Lentils, Short and Long Grain Rice, Milk Powder and Sugar, in addition to Tahini, Tahniya (halva) Sesame bar and Hulled Sesame.

With the help of a talented marketing and sales team and a modern distribution fleet, Delta Food products have been made available to consumers all around the country at different types of wholesale and retail outlets.

Working towards achieving a 30% market share, Delta Food Complex has the capability to produce a complete range of sesame-based products and other products. Future plans include the expansion of the facilities to double the production capacity as well as adding new products to the existing portfolio. These include tomato paste, French fries, crisps, biscuits, and sweets.

In 2016, leaning on a wealth of experience in sesame from cultivation to processing and selling, MSG Food invested in establishing a factory for the production of Tahniya (halva), Tahini Paste and Hulled Sesame in Gedarif State.  The factory produces 120MT/day of Tahniya, 60MT/day of Tahini Paste and 60MT/day of Hulled Sesame and 1MT/hour of Sesame Bar (Semsemeya). In addition to local distribution, these products are exported to New Zealand, Australia, China, and different countries across Europe/Eastern Europe, the Middle East & North Africa.

Based in Khartoum North over 14,000m² of land, Delta Oil Refinery is under construction and expected to start production by the third quarter of 2019. It is planned to be a fully mechanized ISO & HACCP certified oil refining plant specializing in edible oils.
