Established in 2016, the African Livestock Company is dedicated to consistently supplying high quality Sudanese animal products for both export and local consumption.
Working in partnership with local farmers, the African Livestock Company is contributing substantially to the aggregate national volume of exported chilled and frozen meat, giving a boost to the economy by injecting foreign currency and promoting Sudanese meats regionally. The company currently produces high quality chilled and frozen beef and lamb.
Despite being a relatively young company, it has experienced rapid growth with future plans for
expansion that will diversify its range of products and services and introduce new scientific methods in livestock production. The company is currently exploring dairy production methods as well as establishing a fully equipped veterinary services centre.
The African Livestock Company produces its own animal feed from the agricultural by-products of corn, sorghum, fava beans, soya beans and pigeon peas. These crops are grown by the African Plantation company which is another subsidiary of Mahgoub Sons Group. In addition to locally produced feed, the company also imports concentrated feed for sheep, cattle and poultry.
